Welcome to the Boulevard!
The Boulevard Theatre continues to be the “go to” place for the unexpected and entertaining in and around the city of Milwaukee. Boulevard began a cultural eruption when it opened its doors on Kinnickinnic 29 years ago and the overflow of civic improvement and cultural contributions to both the Bay View neighborhood and the greater Milwaukee community continues to provide fertile soil for new, emerging artists.
With so many theatre companies to choose from in Milwaukee, Boulevard Theatre remains a standout for our continued commitment to community, connection and innovative creativity on the stage.

Attention Actors! ~
Milwaukee’s Boulevard Theatre seeks an actor (age 20 to 25) for its February/March, 2017 staging of Canadian playwright John Murrell’s “comic tutorial” TAKING SHAKESPEARE. This Milwaukee premiere is a 90-minute, two-person play which explores inter-generational friendship, academic isolation, and anti-intellectualism. Performers appearing with the Boulevard receive honorariums/stipends, media exposure, and professional networking and artistic training. This production will be co-directed by Boulevard Theatre’s Mark Bucher and Milwaukee director David Flores.
Actors and other theatre artists interested in participating in TAKING SHAKESPEARE (designers, tech/house crew) should email a resume to Boulevard’s Artistic Director Mark Bucher at firstname.lastname@example.org. Boulevard champions opportunities for individuals from all backgrounds and welcomes both emerging and experienced artists from Milwaukee’s diverse community of theatre artists. Boulevard also seeks support personnel and staff for this production (ushers, house managers, volunteers, designers, technical staff, & program ad sales).
